Case Hardened — Blue Gem
The more blue on the play side, the pricier. Top seeds with a blue AK top or Karambit blade go for tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Marble Fade — Fire & Ice
A perfect Fire & Ice is red and blue only, no yellow. Max seeds on the Karambit are extremely rare.
Doppler — phases & gems
Phases 1–4, Ruby, Sapphire and Black Pearl are set by paint index, not seed. Ruby/Sapphire/BP are the most expensive.
Fade — gradient percentage
Higher fade percentage (90–100%) is prized: the more pink-purple, the more expensive the knife or pistol.
Crimson Web — webs
Large centered webs on the play side are prized: the more webs, the higher the price.
What is float
Float value is a number from 0 to 1 baked into every skin copy when it drops: the lower, the better the condition. Wear bounds: FN up to 0.07, MW to 0.15, FT to 0.38, WW to 0.45, BS to 1. Each skin has its own range — not every one can be Factory New.
Paint Seed
Paint Seed defines the texture placement. These seeds are prized by collectors and sell for multiples of the base price.
How to check your skin
Open the skin page here and press "Inspect in game" — CS2 shows the exact float and pattern. The paint seed is visible in the game console or by inspecting the item in your inventory.
